March 2016 – Edge Technologies has introduced an additional bar feeder to the lineup. The Scout 320 is the newest and most economically priced of all the Edge brand magazine bar feeders. This cost-efficient bar feeder offers guaranteed excellence.
When reviewing technical data of the Scout 320 you will find a host of features. The Scout is an Automatic Magazine style bar feeder designed for feeding round, square and hexagonal bar stock in lengths up to 12′, in a diameter range of 3-20 mm, into CNC lathes. While it produces similar results to other feeders in the 3 to 20mm stock range, the Scout differs, considerably, from others with its unique uni-body structure. This construction adds strength and integrity to the frame.
The pass-through hood allows for additional bars to be added to the bar stock magazine rack throughout production. As with other magazine feeders in the Edge Bar Feeder brand line-up, the Scout features Dual Anti-Vibration Devices, a Swiss Sync Device, Remnant Retract, a Hand-Held Pendant, and Quick Change Guide Channels.
An Additional quality which makes the Scout 320 unique is the notable electrical cabinet. The cabinet has the capability of being accessed from both sides of the bar feeder. This allows for easy access for electrical maintenance.
Rick Bauer, Vice President of Edge Technologies, is pleased with the Scout 320’s outcome. Bauer explains,
“Based on the Scout’s Uni-body construction and design, it really has out performed our initial expectations.
The difficult decision of “Quality over Price or Price over Quality” is no longer a problem. The Scout 320 has both quality and low price. The Scout 320 is durable and saves you money.
“Along with receiving the quality that you would expect from Edge Bar Feeder brand units, you get the one of the most important features not available anywhere else – that of Edge Technologies’ Service, a very, very valuable asset.” states Kevin Shults, Edge Technologies’ Director of Marketing.
With only 7 months to go, Edge is enthusiastic about showcasing the Scout at IMTS 2016. We encourage you to stop by booth #S-8348 and see what the Scout can do for you and your company. The Scout 320 will not disappoint.
